Pierrot was an edgy rock band from Nagano that lasted from 1994 (going major in 1998 with the album FINALE) until their final single, "Hello", in 2006. The lineup from 1995 onwards consisted of Kirito as vocalist (who had previously played guitar), Aiji and Jun on guitars, bassist Kohta, and drummer Takeo.

Their music features a mix of upbeat and harder-hitting rock sounds - especially recognizable for their guitar and drum stylings, as well as Kirito's unique voice. While they are often grouped alongside visual bands, their style is in a class of its own, and holds strong appeal for fans of western rock music.

Since the breakup of Pierrot, members Kirito, Kohta, and Takeo have formed the band Angelo, while Aiji went on to LM.C and Jun joined ALvino.
